Lo hemos dicho en varias ocasiones, las imágenes sintéticas son imágenes configuradas a partir de las matemáticas y la informática, que por eso son el compendio exclusivo de unos y ceros. Que el figurativismo de estas imágenes no nos haga perder de vista este fundamento. 

De entre los temas favoritos de los siempre jóvenes creadores de imágenes sintéticas se encuentran: los robots, los monstruos, los ciborgs y los alienígenas, por lo que respecta al género de la figura y el retrato.

Aquí una alienígena. ¿Una mujer? A juzgar por lo que sabemos de la raza humana podríamos decir que sí. Pero a saber lo que piensa esa alienígena de un tema del que nada sabe, porque en su mundo todos los seres son como ella (¿). Ella no sabe nada de géneros porque todos los seres son como ella (¿) y de sexo sabe lo que tiene saber para reproducirse, algo de lo que nosotros, los humanos, ignoramos todo. Tampoco sabemos si esta alienígena sabe algo de la Venus de Milo. Ni sabemos nada acerca de su mirada. Ni del porqué del tamaño de sus manos.
